Gynaecological Cancer Treatment in Delhi

Each year in the UK, over 21,000 women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer. This means 58 people receive this life-changing news each and every day. Sadly, 21 of these women die a day from their gynaecological cancer.

That's far too many mothers, wives, daughters, partners and friends in our opinion, and at The Eve Appeal we're determined to change this. Part of our mission is to ensure that everyone is aware of what to look out for, because recognising gynaecological cancer symptoms can mean an earlier diagnosis and a better outcome.

Gynaecological cancer encompasses a group of malignancies that affect the female reproductive system. There are five gynaecological cancers – womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal – but awareness levels of these cancers is very low and they represent a significant health concern for women worldwide.

• Cervix: Cervical cancer begins in the cervix, the lower part of the uterus. It is often linked to persistent infection with high-risk types of human papillomavirus (HPV).
• Ovaries: Ovarian cancer forms in the ovaries, the small, almond-shaped organs that produce eggs and hormones. It is often challenging to detect in its early stages.
• Uterus: Uterine cancer, also known as endometrial cancer, starts in the lining of the uterus. It is the most common gynaecological cancer.
• Vagina: Vaginal cancer is a rare cancer that originates in the vagina, the muscular tube that connects the cervix to the external genitals.
• Vulva: Vulvar cancer develops on the external female genitalia, including the labia, clitoris, and vaginal opening.
